Home Residential and Hard-to-Reach Standard Offer ProgramThe Residential and Hard-to-Reach Standard Offer Program was developed by Xcel Energy to provide an incentive to suppliers of energy services to implement electric energy-efficiency projects at Xcel Energy residential customers' facilities. The Hard-to-Reach SOP was developed by Xcel Energy to provide an opportunity for Project Sponsors who are interested in providing comprehensive energy efficiency retrofits for single-and multi-family customers who meet the income guidelines of the program. The primary objective of these Standard Offer Programs is to achieve cost-effective reduction in peak summer demand. Residential customers wishing to receive energy efficiency services under this program must contact a participating sponsor. Sponsor contracts are awarded at the first of each calendar year. A Participating Sponsor list with contact information is available on the website under the Residential, Hard-To-Reach program heading. Customers are welcome to contact the sponsor of their choice. Project Sponsor Incentive LimitsXcel Energy will review the project applications from potential Project Sponsors on a first-come, first-served basis until all SOP incentive funds have been reserved. Submitting an application does not guarantee a reservation of funds.
